Our busy restaurant is looking for servers with a friendly smile and a cheerful customer service attitude to set the tone for our guests to enjoy their dining experience with us. You will serve our guests in the restaurant by ensuring that they are seated promptly, their orders are taken, prepared, and served timely, and that tables are cleaned and ready for the next guests. Our ideal candidate maintains a friendly and courteous demeanor toward our guests and coworkers while providing exceptional customer service to our guests. Responsibilities: • Attend all pre-shift and departmental meetings to improve communications and develop an understanding of products, services, and facilities • Complete all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side work as instructed• Welcome customers upon arrival and promptly seat them, take food and beverage orders from diners, serve meals, and meet any special requirements or requests• Receive proper payment from the guest and ensure the accuracy of the guest check and method of payment to protect both the customer and the restaurant from transaction errors• Develop a comprehensive understanding of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials so that you can respond to client questions and provide recommendations Qualifications: • Outstanding time management and organizational skills• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent certification (GED)• Previous experience working in food service is preferred• This role requires a strong emphasis on putting the guest first and providing exceptional customer service About Company: Inyo Restaurant 22871 Woodward Ave. Ferndale, MI 48220 248-543-XXXX XXXX@inyorestaurant.com
