Job Title: Resource RN Location: Claremont, NH Shift Notes: 12hr Nights 36 hours guaranteed weekly Hourly/Salary Range: Hourly: $31.00 - $43.00 (based on years of experience) Position Summary: The Resource RN provides professional nursing care within the assigned department, coordinating care planning with other disciplines. This role is crucial for ensuring that care meets the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects required by patients. The nurse prioritizes care based on the physical and psychosocial needs of patients, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system, and maintains effective communication with physicians regarding changes in patients conditions. Essential Functions: Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and reassessments as per policy, covering all patient demographics. Assess and manage pain effectively, educating patients and families about pain management. Revise and evaluate the plan of care based on the patients response to treatment. Demonstrate knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on the age of the patient and clinical conditions. Formulate and evaluate patient and family education plans. Demonstrate ability to assist physicians with procedures and perform services requiring technical and manual skills. Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret results, and treat appropriately based on ACLS protocols. Manage patients with compromised nutritional/metabolic status and those requiring extensive fluid and electrolyte management. Maintain effective communication with the healthcare team and consult other departments as needed to provide an interdisciplinary approach to care. Qualifications: Experience in a Medical/Surgical setting with cardiac monitoring and emergency department required. Ability to work independently in a critical access hospital setting.
