Position: Resort Manager - Charlottesville Location We are seeking a Resort Manager to lead the daily operations of our resort, focusing on staff management, customer experience, sales performance, and guest care and safety. Essential Functions: Lead the resort team through daily operations, maintaining standards of conduct, cleanliness, and safety Manage resort staffing by creating schedules, communicating staffing needs, and handling hiring and terminations Train and coach resort team members, recognizing and developing talent Communicate effectively with resort, regional, and corporate teams, and partner with regional maintenance on building issues Maintain excellent customer service metrics, including NPS and online reviews Utilize financial tools and reports to identify and address sales and performance trends Manage labor costs, payroll, and inventory of supplies Organize and maintain policies and procedures for both back-of-house and front-of-house operations Assist new and current team members with required training and ongoing development Prepare and deliver annual performance reviews on a timely basis Qualifications: 3-5 years of management experience overseeing 20-30 employees Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills Experience with interviewing, hiring, and evaluating candidates Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills Comfortable around dogs of all sizes and able to lift up to 60 lbs Flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times Valid driver’s license and working motor vehicle Education and Experience: Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or minimum two years of related experience Previous experience in animal care preferred Prior management experience in retail, restaurant, hospitality operations, or similar Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite Perks & Benefits: Complimentary Pet Day Camp – Bring your dog to work! 30 Days of Complimentary Pet Boarding (non-holidays) On-demand pay with DailyPay Discounted Veterinary Care and Grooming Services Dog/Cat Adoption Assistance Fitness Reimbursement Paid Time Off (full-time and part-time status) 401(k) with company match Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance (full-time status) About Pet Paradise Pet Paradise is dedicated to providing premium care to pets, ensuring they live the happiest, healthiest, and longest lives possible.
