JOB DESCRIPTION Lars Remodeling & Design, a distinguished home remodeling and design company with a rich legacy spanning over 30 years, is seeking a seasoned Controller who is self-motivated, detail oriented, and is driven by achieving successful outcomes. A successful candidate for this position will be responsible for maintaining accurate books and records based on GAAP. This position will work closely with the Accounting Manager and CFO. Financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Prepare accurate financial statements and reports for stakeholders (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually). Budget process, collaborating with department heads. Financial analysis, providing insights for performance optimization. Annual insurance review and renewals for employee benefits, automobile, general liability, worker's comp, and miscellaneous policies. Maintain certificates for all subcontractors. Maintain all business certifications and business licenses. HR duties as needed. Obtain and keep all employee records in compliance. Qualifications: Minimum 10 years' experience as a Controller, Office Manager, Full-Charge Bookkeeper or similar position, with focus in the construction industry. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Proven experience in an accounting function in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in accounting software and systems. Prior experience using QuickBooks Enterprise is preferred. Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience managing a team. Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word). California Notary is a plus. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Strong organizational skills. Demonstrate teamwork and problem-solving skills. Clean background check. This is a full-time office-based position.
