Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston is a group practice specializing in eye care. Our Physicians are actively involved in research that is advancing the understanding of many eye conditions. We conduct numerous clinical trials aimed at finding new treatments for many eye conditions, so that we are able to offer the best treatment options to our patients. We are currently hiring a Research Assistant for our Retina team. Responsibilities: Performs complex ophthalmic workups per study protocols, such as gathering pertinent medical details and conducting visual assessments, ophthalmic workups, and diagnostic testing. Acquires and maintains accurate, neat documentation of study data. Responsible for administrative support and data entry of multiple research studies Performs other research-related duties as needed Expertise to work professionally and effectively with patients, as well as clinical and administrative staff Strong interpersonal and communication expertise Excellent organization, planning and prioritizing capabilities Exercise initiative and take responsibility. Work requires continuous attention to detail in all responsibilities. Education and Background preferred: Bachelors of Science degree preferred. 1-two years of background as an ophthalmic technician. Ideal applicants will have background in high volume ophthalmic environment. Knowledge of clinical research procedures.
