This position will play a crucial role in developing innovative food products, improving existing formulations, and ensuring product safety and quality. Job Title: Research and Development Scientist (Direct Hire) Job Type: Full Time / Permanent / Direct Hire Location: Patterson, New Jersey Pay: $80-120,000 / annually DOE Benefits: Excellent compensation and benefits!! Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions). * Conduct research and experiments to develop new food ingredients, additives, and flavors. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, quality assurance, and production, to create and optimize formulations. * Utilize your expertise in fermentation processes to enhance product attributes. * Implement preservation techniques to extend shelf life and maintain product quality. * Investigate and apply mold inhibitors to prevent spoilage and contamination. * Analyze raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using various laboratory techniques. * Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards. * Document research findings, experimental procedures, and results accurately. * Participate in sensory evaluations and consumer testing. * Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and scientific advancements.We're looking for a R&D Scientist with the following background profile/skillset: The requirements listed below are representative of the competencies (minimum knowledge, skill, and ability) required.
