Extraordinary Engineering Super User NeededDUTIES Work within the Diabetes Care Meter Development Systems Engineering R and D team as a "super user" for systems engineering tools, including the IBM Rational suite (RequisitePro, Rational Publishing Engine (RPE), ClearQuest, ClearCase, and Test Manager) and the PTC Integrity suite. The individual in this position will be an expert user of these and related tools in support of the product development teams, as well as, mentor, consult, and train other engineers on use of the tools and databases to manage requirements, tracing, issue tracking, documentation, and software revision control. This includes support of various R and D product development groups and teams within the Diabetes Care division. This R and D role will also work closely with others in IT and R and D for implementation, configuration, validation testing, project data migration, procedure updates, and piloting of new tool installations and updates. This will include leadership and self:managed responsibilities. In this regard, project management, along with the ability to work with others and individually with minimal supervision, are all key skills for the individual filling this role. SKILLS Expertise is strongly preferred with the IBM Rational suite, including RequisitePro, ClearQuest, and ClearCase, as well as, Rational Publishing Engine (RPE) template development and report generation, in addition to experience with the PTC Integrity suite."Super user" administrative type experience with such tools is also preferred.Similar experience with DOORS, Rational TestManager and Test RealTime, or similar tools is a benefit and will be considered.The ideal candidate will have a product development engineering background, preferably with embedded systems, and some project management experience.Hands:on experience with systems and requirements analysis, design, and modeling, along with administration, management, and maintenance of such, is preferred.Additional experience desired includes metrics identification, creation, management, root cause analysis, documentation management, Change Control Board (CCB) participation and facilitation, creation and/or support of SOPs, and general process improvements for Systems Engineering and associated processes and tools. EDUCATION At a minimum, the candidate must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a related engineering field or Computer Science.In addition, 5+ years hands:on experience with the above responsibilities and tools usage within a product development team is required.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to clearly and effectively communicate and interact within a team:oriented environment is a must.
