Practice Area: Trusts and Estates - General,Probate,Guardianship and Conservatorship, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 3 Years, A law firm seeks a licensed attorney residing in Virginia to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of substantive legal experience and hold an additional active license to practice in one or more of the following states: Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio, or West Virginia. We are looking for a motivated, collaborative, and innovative professional who demonstrates energy and determination in their legal practice.Duties:Independently manage cases from initial filing to resolution.Develop and implement effective strategies to achieve optimal outcomes for clients through thorough case analysis and ongoing investigation.Engage in substantive communication with courts, administrative offices, financial institutions, and clients.Draft various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, agreements, and security instruments.Represent clients at hearings and trials as required.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.Minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience.Active license to practice law in Virginia, with additional licensure in the specified states preferred.Prior experience in one or more of these areas is preferred: Medicaid eligibility and reimbursement, administrative appeals, civil litigation, probate and estate claims, and guardianships.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited institution.Certifications:Current membership in the Virginia State Bar, with additional licensure preferred.Skills:Exceptional oral and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote team environment.Strong self-motivation, discipline, and energy to succeed in a home office setting.High level of organization and effective time management abilities.Persistent, resourceful, and proactive in problem-solving.Confidence to take initiative and accountability for case outcomes.Proficiency in technology, including familiarity with Mac systems, Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, and timekeeping software.Benefits:Comprehensive onboarding and training program for new attorneys.Supportive remote work environment with access to paralegals and operations staff.Opportunities for professional growth and development.
