Practice Area: Litigation - General (consumer), Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 2 Years, Job Overview A law firm seeks a licensed Virginia attorney to join a dynamic team specializing in Creditors' Rights and Insurance Subrogation. This position offers the flexibility of remote work but requires in-person court appearances across Virginia. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have the ability to handle a large caseload effectively.DutiesRepresent clients in required in-person court appearances throughout Virginia.Conduct thorough legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions.Collaborate with colleagues to manage cases efficiently in a high-volume, deadline-driven setting.Communicate regularly with team members and clients, providing case updates and contributing to strategy development.Handle multiple tasks and prioritize workloads to meet strict deadlines.RequirementsLicensed to practice law in Virginia (required).Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).Ability to manage a high caseload while adhering to deadlines.Previous experience in a fast-paced legal environment is advantageous.Admission to other states such as Delaware, Michigan, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maryland, or Washington, D.C. is a plus but not required.EducationJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Active bar membership in Virginia.CertificationsActive Virginia State Bar License.SkillsStrong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.Flexibility to appear in court across multiple locations in Virginia.Benefits401(k) retirement plan.Medical, dental, and vision insurance.Life insurance coverage.Paid time off (PTO).Flexible work schedule allowing for remote work.This full-time position allows remote work, but in-person court appearances across Virginia are required.
