Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) - Float Location : Coos Bay, Oregon Shift Type : Varied Shift Notes : Varied Shifts, 8-hour shifts, 80-hours per two-week pay period Hourly Pay Rate: $45.00 - $70.00 Sign-on and Relocation Offered Job Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) - Float is responsible for delivering nursing care within the scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing. This role involves applying the nursing process to patient care, teaching patients and their families, documenting care in medical records, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure effective coordination of overall patient care. The ideal candidate must be adaptable, able to manage changing priorities, and demonstrate critical thinking skills. Key Responsibilities: Provide nursing care to patients according to the RN scope of practice. Teach patients and their families regarding treatment plans and care. Document patient care and treatment accurately in the medical records. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care. Demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and managing rapidly-changing patient needs. Respond effectively to crisis/emergency situations. Maintain punctual and consistent attendance at the assigned job location. Skills and Abilities: Proficient in reading, writing, and conversing effectively in the English language. Exhibit strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Adaptable to shifting priorities and able to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently. Proficient in using computers, accessing the internet, word processing, and documenting in an electronic medical record system. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS). American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or must be obtained by the last day of the month after the 6-month grace period. Experience: Recent (within past 5 years) acute care hospital experience preferred. Experience in acute care hospital or intermediate/progressive care within the past two years preferred.
