Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER) Eglin AFB, FL EM Key Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time position supporting the Emergency Room (ER) at Eglin Hospital, Eglin AFB, FL . Work Schedule: 8 to 12-hour shifts, days or nights, including weekends and holidays Panama Schedule: 3 shifts one week and 4 shifts the following week (8 hours overtime every other week) Rotating Night, Weekends, and Holidays Job-Specific Duties and Tasks: The Emergency Services Registered Nurse shall assess patients, including the ability to assess/evaluate telephonically and possess the ability to recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergency situations. Shall perform/assist with procedures such as endoscopic procedures, manometry, conscious sedation, prepping the patient for procedures and recovering patients post-procedure, bladder catheterizations, pulse oximetry, oxygen administration, EKGs, and other clinic-specific procedures, in accordance with established protocols. Ensure proper documentation and coding of procedures and treatments. Shall only release medical information obtained during the course of this contract to other MTF staff involved in the care and treatment of that individual patient. Possess basic knowledge in management and daily operation of an emergency department servicing a large number of patients with a variety of healthcare needs and illnesses. ER nurse shall arrange for procedures and perform telephone follow-up, as appropriate. ER nurse shall ensure medication/supplies are replenished. Must possess basic knowledge of emergency procedures in order to react promptly and appropriately to provide effective care during emergency situations, respiratory or cardiac arrest. Required Qualifications: Education: BSN; ADN may be accepted with appropriate ER experience Experience: Minimum 1 year ER experience as an RN, including moderate sedation for procedures; 2 years experience if AND Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license from any state. Life Support Certifications: Possess ARC or AHA BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. Clearance: Must possess the ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.
