A Better Day ABA provides applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism in home, school, and community settings. We are also in the process of opening a clinic in James City County. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to work as a registered behavior technician (RBT) and to be part of a great team. As a behavior technician, you will deliver individualized ABA therapy to our young special-needs clients under the direct guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). While experience in ABA is preferred, it is not required. ABA therapy is all about teaching new behaviors, so as long as you are energetic and enjoy working with kids, we can teach you the rest! We provide comprehensive training, ongoing supervision, and a supportive work environment that sets us apart from others in the field. We are currently looking for a candidate to work part-time and then phase into full-time hours. Responsibilities:• Provide 1:1 applied behavior analysis in-home, center, and community-based environments by implementing individualized treatment plans (ISPs) developed by BCBAs• Collect data to monitor the progress and effectiveness of the individualized treatment plan (iPad for data collection is provided)• Provide regular written session notes to document progress on treatment goals• Collaborate with the supervising BCBA on progress and barriers inhibiting progress Qualifications:• Must have a high school diploma• Must have reliable transportation to get to client homes and office/clinic• Must be able to lift (50lbs), bend, sit on the floor, and engage in active play• Must have completed a 40-hour RBT training program before working with our team (we are happy to instruct applicants on how to acquire this)• Must be available to work between the hours of 4-6 pm (at minimum)• Must have the enthusiasm, motivation, and commitment to work with children with special needs Compensation: $23+ hourly About Company: A Better Day ABA is a small family-oriented business.
