A s a leading Residential Treatment Center in the Greater Richmond area, Hallmark Youthcare treats adolescents with emotional and behavioral issues triggered by trauma. Treatment is provided in a warm and friendly environment by a group of well-trained, highly motivated staff that takes pride in delivering quality care. We are currently accepting applications for a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) with a strong desire to work with a team of committed clinicians to create a safe and fun place for our residents to heal. WE ARE A DRUG FREE EMPLOYER Pay: Starting at $24 hourly Duties/ Responsibilities : Responsible for developing and implementing well rounded programs for coping with frustration, stress, anger, and loss. Performing therapeutic recreation assessments, teaching appropriate use of leisure time while improving social interaction skills, and documenting progress in the medical record. Creative ideas and flexibility and adaptability skills are required for success. Skills / Qualification s: BS in Therapeutic Recreation from accredited school. Previous clinical experience (preferred.) One year experience in therapeutic recreation with adolescents. Nationally Certified (or eligible) as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. Valid Virginia Driver's License in good standing preferred Communicates effectively with all disciplines involved in the care of the residents and documents information accurately. Ability to direct Therapeutic Recreation groups effectively with adolescents. CTRS (Required)
