Relocation will be offered.RESPONSIBILITIES * Execute established Analytical methods - primarily physiochemical and wet chemistry analysis methods (PSD, BET, density, titrations, etc.) to enable R&D initiatives and resolve technical challenges.* Recommend and contribute to the optimization/modification of existing Analytical methods and establishment of new ones to meet evolving R&D needs.* Over time develop understanding of chemistries, materials and process transformations to create greater value and/or eliminate wasted effort/cost.* With supervision and coaching, the incumbent is expected to develop:o Insights from experimental data. o Key problem statements and fundamental understanding of technical models and/or mechanisms by connecting data sets or by connecting data with current organizational or industry knowledge and applying these to the R&D projects and activities being worked.o Insights from project level R&D work.o Ability to identify and improve (streamline or increase value) Analytical methods to create greater value and/or eliminate wasted effort/cost.* Without supervision the incumbent must be:o Proficient in ability to perform high quality execution of established Analytical methods to achieve desired goals or results. Proficient in performing against multiple projects in parallel. o Proficient in analyses (statistical, if needed) of data to uncover new findings from R&D work. * Adherence to and compliance with all Company wide and R&D specific policies and procedures is required.* Other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS BS in Chemistry degree is required.* 1-3 years of practical laboratory experience in R&D.ABOUT US Duracell is the world's leading manufacturer and marketer of high-performance alkaline batteries, complemented by a portfolio of high quality, market leading specialty, rechargeable and professional batteries.
