QA Engineer - Streaming

As a QA Specialist on our Quality and Reliability team. Working closely with Product Owners, Developers, and Tech Leads in an Agile environment, you'll be responsible for testing across multiple devices, ensuring high-quality standards are met, and adhering to detailed test scripts.Key Responsibilities * Develop and execute test plans and packs using TestRail or Qmetry. * Focus on testing features that can be enabled without additional development, such as onboarding existing features on current platforms. * Manage test results, produce detailed reports, and liaise regularly with project teams to understand testing requirements. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives and share knowledge across the team. Qualifications * 2+ years of hands-on testing experience. * Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate clearly and effectively. * Ability to switch between multiple tasks and manage priorities efficiently. * Proven experience in video player testing, especially on mobile devices. * Knowledge of streaming technologies, AV codecs, DRM systems, and experience with video players such as Theo, JW Player, and Shaka Player. * Proficiency in debugging tools and log analysis, ideally using Charles Proxy. * Excellent troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach and a passion for exploratory testing. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Additional DetailsThe base range for this contract position is $40 - $50/per hour, depending on experience.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
