Job Description: Family in the River Forest is seeking a part-time House Manager. This person should be organized, efficient, responsive with strong communication skills. Exact schedule TBD but can be flexible for the right candidate. Start as soon as possible. Compensation : $25-$30/hr. + PTO, vacation, sick time. Schedule: Guaranteed 20 hours. Flexible on exact days/times. Job Details and Requirements Responsibilities will vary but may include the following: Household errands & grocery shopping. Making returns and ensuring refunds. Managing service providers and seasonal maintenance. Keeping a schedule of appliance and home maintenance needs (i.e. – changing filters, lightbulbs). Managing household calendar and any appointments. Packing/unpacking for trips. Assisting with travel planning such as hotels, cars, booking activities, etc. Child adjacent tasks: book summer activities, purchase school snacks, school documents, etc. Light housekeeping: family laundry, take out trash, load/empty dishwasher. (Family has a cleaning service and will not require any deep cleaning). Other tasks as needed and as assigned. House Manager should be proactive, and step in to keep household running smoothly. The family has 3 teenage children. No childcare is required. The family has 2 medium-size dogs. No care is required but candidate should like pets/not be allergic. Qualifications Prior experience as a House Manager, personal assistant or similar role is desired. House Manager should drive and have a safe driving record. The ideal candidate can supply a car for use on the job. House manager must be proactive and willing to learn. Applicant should be tech/computer savvy. House Manager must be a team player. House Manager must have strong communication skills and be open to feedback. Detail oriented and highly organized. COVID and Flu vaccinations preferred. Powered by JazzHR
