Job Quick Facts: Specialty: Psychiatry Job Type: Locum Tenens Facility Location: Baltimore, MD Service Setting: Inpatient Reason For Coverage: Supplemental Coverage Period: Dec 11, 2023 - Jul 15, 2024 Coverage Type: Clinical Only Shift Coverage: Acute Psych Unit/Long-term Psych/Sub-acute Unit Shift Schedule: 8a-4p - Must be available by phone till 6p - No weekends, No call Patient Demographics: 18-65 yrs old Patient Volume: 12 - Will drop to 7 starting Jan 2024 (hours might drop as well) Ratio of Follow ups and New Evals: 1:5 Rounding included: Yes Duties: - Psychiatric diagnostic evaluation of patients - Medication management, medicolegal testimony to administrative judges related to involuntary commitment of inpatients - Crisis de-escalation, Family/patient education - Liaison efforts toward non-psychiatric clinicians Support Staff: 20 RNs, 10 MA, 5 NP/PAs, 3 Office Staff Beds in the Dept: 37 Trauma Level: I EMR: Epic Temporary Privileges Available: Yes Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered Requirements: Active MD License BC BLS
