Join the Clarkston Medical Group Team as a Psychiatric Biller & Coder! Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for psychiatric billing and coding? Clarkston Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Biller and Coder to join our team at our Clarkston office! This is a fantastic opportunity to work in-office with a dynamic team committed to excellence in mental healthcare. This is not a remote position. Key Responsibilities: Ensure psychiatric record accuracy and assign the correct CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes. Review and apply the appropriate modifiers to ensure clean claim submissions. Refile denied or rejected claims and resolve coding errors efficiently. Address inquiries from patients, providers, staff, and insurance companies with professionalism. Resolve patient billing concerns and process payments, including preparing daily deposits. What We’re Looking For: Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification, with a minimum of 2 years of experience (preferred). Thorough knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, CPT II, and HCPCS coding systems. Strong proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. Familiarity with medical and psychiatric terminology and administrative procedures. Tech-savvy with experience using word processing, spreadsheets, and inventory management software. A proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Commitment to maintaining Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for accreditation. Physical Demands: Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time, roughly 8 hours a day Ability to lift to 15 lbs. Work Environment: Full-time, in-office position. Travel Required: None.
