Property Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Property Accountant to join their team for hybrid role. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Job Responsibilities: Arrange and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for properties. Conduct financial analysis to support property management decisions Prepare and file property tax returns. Monitor budget variances and provide explanations. Process invoices and ensure timely payment of property expenses. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Perform monthly bank reconciliations for property accounts. Manage lease accounting, including rent roll and lease abstracts. Assist in the preparation of property budgets and forecasts. Support the implementation of new accounting policies and procedures. Qualifications/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in property accounting or real estate accounting. Proven experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and general ledger management. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and accounting software (MRI, Yardi or similar). Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting principles. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and reconciliations. Strong organizational and time management skills. Understanding of local, state, and federal tax regulations related to property accounting. Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners. REF #49193 #LI-POST #ZR
