This role involves leadingcross-functional teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required qualitystandards. The Project Manager will coordinate with stakeholders, manage project resources, and navigateregulatory requirements to drive successful project outcomes that enhance the efficiency and safety ofMaryland's transportation network. The candidate will work alongside a dedicated team of professionalscommitted to innovation, efficiency, and excellence.ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES● Lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex technical projects on time and within budgetsuccessfully.1 | Page● Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, resources, and risk managementstrategies.● Ensure that investments and initiatives in project management services are aligned with businessstrategy, priorities, security, and compliance.● Identify, assess, and manage project risks, developing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.● Implement quality assurance processes to monitor and evaluate project deliverables.● Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met and delivered on time.● Define and implement project management methodologies, standards, and best practices.● Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including government officials, engineers, contractors, and thepublic, to ensure project alignment with strategic objectives and community needs.● Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and implement proactive solutions to keepprojects on track.● Maintain accurate documentation and reporting to track project milestones, budget expenditures, andperformance metrics.QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIRED SKILLS:● Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).● Experience managing technical projects in a government or public-sector environment, with a strongunderstanding of government regulations and compliance requirements.● Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively motivate teams and buildconsensus among diverse stakeholders.● Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall, with a successfulproject delivery track record.● Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, keen attention to detail, and a results-oriented mindset.● Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and successfully collaborate with users, vendors, ITprofessionals, and Subject Matter Experts.● Familiarity with transportation industry standards, technologies, and best practicesEDUCATION● Bachelor’s degree in business management, Information Technology, or related field2 | PageOTHER● Duration: Until 06/06/2025● Req Type: Temporary● Salary: Determined based on experience and education● Location: Onsite; Hanover, Maryland● Travel: NoBENEFITSWe offer a competitive benefits package for full-time employees to include paid holidays, paid time off, medicaland dental.VECRA, Inc. is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
