About the Role: As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Service Projects Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced project manager who thrives on handling smaller-scale projects such as tenant buildouts, retrofits, upfits, and renovations. In this role, you will have the chance to manage mechanical installation and service projects from start to finish, working closely with project executives, superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure that every project meets our clients' expectations and VMG's high standards. Key Responsibilities: Provide overall management and direction for mechanical installation and service projects. Collaborate with project executives, superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors to meet project needs and exceed client expectations. Manage projects including tenant buildouts, retrofits, upfits, and renovations, ensuring timely and quality completion. Apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize team performance and project outcomes. Ensure familiarity with mechanical drawings, commercial construction projects, and building systems. Manage project schedules, deadlines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery. Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with clients, team members, and subcontractors. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in Mechanical Construction projects, especially smaller-scale projects. In-depth knowledge of HVAC equipment and mechanical installation processes. Experience in construction claims prevention and management. Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and building systems. Basic proficiency in MS Word and Excel; familiarity with electrical and control systems related to the Plumbing trade is a plus. Excellent communication, relationship management, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines effectively. Location: This position is based at our HQ in Sterling, VA, with projects located throughout the DMV area.
