Skills Exceptional attention to detail Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent communication and negotiation abilities Proficient in estimating software Knowledgeable in project management principles Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and costs Strong leadership and management skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Responsibilities Estimate and manage commercial construction projects from start to finish Review project plans, specifications, and documents for accurate cost estimates Analyze blueprints and specifications to estimate material, labor, and equipment costs Prepare take-offs, scope of work, and bid packages for projects Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors for quotes Analyze bid results and prepare detailed proposals and cost estimates for clients Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget Monitor project progress and communicate with clients and team members Coordinate all project activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control Ensure project documentation is completed accurately and on time Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating Knowledge of project management principles Familiarity with contract and subcontract documents Experience with Specialty Contractors or a Self-Performing contractor Experience in sales/marketing is a plus Education Requirements Bachelors degree in Construction Management or a related field Education Requirements Credential Category Bachelors Degree Experience Requirements Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a commercial construction estimator Experience estimating or project managing parking structure restoration jobs is a plus Willingness to travel to and from job sites as required Why work in Livonia, MI Livonia, MI is known for its vibrant community and excellent quality of life.
