Project Manager - Advanced Mobility

The Project Manager will work in a diverse group of engineering and business associates and will be a key resource for proposal development and delivery of customer projects which leverage TRCs world class test facilities and personnel. This role will focus on supporting clients including commercial, academia, and government, with advanced driver assist system and automated driving system testing and research needs. Essential Functions* Serve as a main point of contact for clients throughout the project life cycle, from proposal development through project close. Facilitate conversations with clients to understand their testing and/or research needs, finalize the desired scope of work, and work with the internal engineering and supporting teams to develop the final proposal Understand the necessary contractual requirements for program execution, serving as the liaison between clients and TRCs finance and contracting teams, ensuring contractual documentation is received to allow program execution to begin in a timely manner Work with both internal and external personnel to secure resources needed for program execution Monitor the status of long-term programs by maintaining accurate records including scope, schedule and budget Identify constraints that may be at risk and facilitate conversations to address those risks, leveraging tracking tools unique to projects based on the required reporting and contractual requirements Lead project meetings which may include internal personnel, subcontractors, and program sponsors Ensure high quality, on-time customer deliverables Maintain accurate records of program charges and invoice according to agreed upon contract billing terms Upon program completion, complete necessary close-out paperwork Maintain proprietary atmosphere *TRC Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer and is willing to make a change or adjustment to a job or work environment that allows a qualified individual with a disability to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of a particular job. **Nothing in this job description restricts managements right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. Other Duties and Responsibilities (Non-Essential Functions) Periodically support test track or public road test efforts Travel to offsite customer, trade show, and technical session sites Support TRC improvement initiatives including but not limited to validation of systems and processes, quality management system documents, and test capability development Support TRC Inc.s Quality and EH&S (Environmental, Health, and Safety) efforts Qualifications Bachelors degree (BS or BA) or equivalent combination of education and experience Three years related experience General aptitude and experience in testing and/or research, or project management Knowledge of processes involved in vehicle testing preferred Valid state DMV-issued or valid foreign country-issued drivers license Excellent organization and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) with experience using macros in Excel is a plus Basic project management skills Working conditions Standard office, climate-controlled environment Some travel is required Physical requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers . Ability to work outside in different types of weather
