Position: J29 is seeking an experienced and skilled Program Manager to lead some of our subcontracted programs. This Program Manager will oversee four active subcontracts involving approximately 230 employees who contribute to CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) programs. As the primary point of contact for J29, this individual will coordinate closely with both internal teams and the client, representing J29 in all supervisor and program-related meetings. Role & Responsibilities: Oversee and manage four CMS subcontracts, ensuring effective coordination and high-quality service delivery. Act as the primary liaison between J29 and prime contractor, maintaining strong relationships to ensure alignment and successful collaboration. · Attend all supervisor meetings, advocating for J29’s interests while ensuring clear and transparent communication. Lead and mentor a team of supervisors and staff, promoting a positive and performance-focused work culture. ·Develop and implement strategic initiatives for program success, driving improvements in efficiency and customer satisfaction. Monitor contract performance metrics, track progress, and ensure program compliance with CMS standards and contractual obligations. Identify potential risks and challenges, implementing mitigation strategies and contingency planning to ensure seamless program delivery. Collaborate with J29 leadership to inform and shape the direction of subcontract engagements with prime contractor. Experience / Expertise: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Public Health, or a related field; Master’s degree is preferred. Minimum of 4 years of experience in program management, preferably focused on CMS-related programs. Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, compliance requirements, and program structures. Proven track record managing large teams (150+ employees) across multiple locations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, both internal and external. Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with an emphasis on attention to detail. Ability to work independently, make critical decisions, and demonstrate sound judgment under pressure. Preferred Qualifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification. Familiarity with federal contracting processes and experience in subcontract management. Knowledge of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) policies and program operations. Experience in overseeing compliance audits and implementing process improvements. Prior training or certifications in Six Sigma, Lean, or other process improvement methodologies.
