Production Welder (This is a Contract/ Contract-to-Hire role) WHAT WE DO AT WET We create projects that transform the way people experience nature’s elements. SUMMARY We are hiring Production Welders who can do their own fixturing and setup their own processes completely independently. All welders need to be extremely fast paced, self-motivated, team players who can keep their area clean and organized, can MIG and TIG proficiently and quickly, able to use plasma torches, band saws, drill presses, perform hydrostatic testing, move their own materials into and out of their area - on top of mostly stainless they should be able to do some MIG/TIG with aluminum, mild steel, and braze copper/brassThis role will be working heavily on the electrical enclosures, specifically the doors and panels along with finish grinding the weldments. This mostly requires MIG welding 14ga CRS, stud welding, and doing cosmetic post weld grinding and material handling. They will also help with other welding needs as capacity allows/requires. THE CORE OF THE POSITION TIG welding stainless steel components MIG welding mild steel sheetmetal Capacitive Discharge stud welding Experienced with cosmetic grinding of sheetmetal panels Able to read blue prints Able to follow written and verbal instruction Ensure quality of work, check own work and work of others in department Self-starter, highly motivated working in a fast-paced department Regularly handle electrical panel frames and door weldments in excess of 65lbs Experience with band saws, circular saws, grinders, and other fabrication equipment Willingness and eagerness to work in other departments as needed such as sheetmetal, fabrication and machine shop Ability to learn and execute quality tests such as hydrostatic pressure testing of weldments Material handling of raw goods and finished weldments WET is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with WET is governed on the basis of merit, competence and qualifications and will not be influenced in any manner by race, color, religion, gender, national origin/ethnicity, veteran status, disability status, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, mental or physical disability or any other legally protected status.Powered by JazzHR
