Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Description:
The Production Supervisor will work directly with Production Line Leads and other team members to coordinate, lead, and direct manufacturing activities, which include: cleaning, preparation, filling, processing, and packaging of various fresh food products. Responsibilities Maintain a safe working environment for all team members and visitors. Maintain high quality and cleanliness standards in accordance with company food safety and sanitation standards Keep work areas, machines and equipment, and storage areas clean and organized Give assistance to subordinates Meet daily production targets in the designated time frame Manage 5+ direct reports Responsible for the flow of materials and processes, including inspection of the production area Support training and motivation of team members within your production area Maximize productivity and quality; minimize waste Fill out the required paperwork by the end of each shift Ensure Team Members comply with company policy in regards to rest and meal breaks, hygiene, sanitation, food safety, and other work-related policies. Qualifications: Strong people skills/communication and leadership skills Bilingual in Spanish/English Food Handlers Certificate 3+ years of food processing experience Previous experience working in food food-safe processing facility Previous experience managing a team preferred Ability to work independently and as a member of a team Ability to learn and apply policies, procedures, and rules Ability to handle frequent interruptions, meet tight deadlines, prioritize tasks, work with minimal direction and handle conflict in a positive manner Ability to work with multiple departments including engineering, operations, safety, quality assurance, logistics, and finance & accounting Fork lift certification preferred Ability to use a computer and basic software (email, web reporting, etc) Must speak, read and write Spanish, preferred Must speak, read and write English Physical requirements Move/Lift up to 25lbs Stands most of the day Bend/Stoop/Position one’s self to move crates of raw materials Must wear Personal Protective Equipment Data analysis experience preferred Lean Six Sigma preferred Benefits We offer competitive pay; Medical, Dental, Vision, voluntary coverage (STD, LTD, Life); an Employee Assistance Program (EAP); holiday pay, plus a great working environment, a culture of trust, and growth opportunities for our employees.
