As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for efficiently planning and coordinating all production activities while ensuring optimal utilisation of resources and on: time delivery. You will develop and maintain production schedules and prioritise workload based on customer requirements, production capacity and material availability. In your first week in this Production Planner role, you can expect to: Collaborate with cross: functional teams including production, manufacturing engineering, purchasing and quality assurance, to ensure the business has streamlined processes to meet business goals Monitor daily production activities, analyse production data and identify areas for improvement Coordinate with material planners to ensure timely availability of raw materials, components and finished goods, considering lead times, safety stock and production demand Review and adjust production schedules as necessary to accommodate unforeseen events such as equipment breakdowns, material shortages or changing customer demands To succeed in this Production Planner role, you will need proven experience as a Production Planning Planner in a manufacturing environment, preferably within an engineering company. You will also require the following: An understanding of planning a CNC machine shop environment Thorough understanding of production planning principles, lean manufacturing and capacity planning Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data, identify trends and make informed decisions Proficiency in using production planning software, excel (advanced) and ERP systems Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross: functional.
