Employbridge is seeking a Production Operator for an Ashland Virginia Manufacturer. Day Shift 2-2-3 Schedule Pay Rate: $16.50 -$18.00 Benefits: Medical, Dental Vision, 401K, Holiday and PTO Job Summary: The Production Operator is responsible for all aspects of producing Aluminum Polymer Coated Magnet Wire safely and efficiently including staging, set up, testing, packaging, documentation and the integrity of the equipment and infrastructure used in the process. Job Duties : * Follow Production Orders, ISO Work Instructions, Safe Work Instructions and other production documents * Perform routine preventative machine maintenance * Select and stage proper supplies and feed stock; string up machines; set machine and controls for proper operation * Continuously monitor production to assure product meets specifications * Maintain optimal efficiency and productivity and minimal scrap * Perform start-up and periodic quality testing * Repair insulation as needed * Maintain safe machine operation * Maintain production records * Weigh, package, label, palletize and stage product for distribution * Safely load and unload raw materials and finished goods * Maintain high level of housekeeping and maintenance throughout facilityQualifications Required: * High school diploma or GED * Knowledge of safety, distribution and manufacturing best practices * Skill in handling and prioritizing multiple tasks safely and efficiently * Must have a high level of mechanical aptitude and experience in the use of basic hand tools and measuring devicesQualifications Desired: * Fork Lift CertifiedPhysical Demand: stand; walk; sit; use hands or fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with arms; talk and hear; Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and have physical stamina and agility to work 12 hour shifts. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus. APPLY NOW!
