This role involves developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely delivery of quality materials while optimizing costs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the market, excellent negotiation skills, and a commitment to operational excellence. Essential Functions, Duties & Accountabilities Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize product sourcing. Identify and establish relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with quality standards. Monitor market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions. Collaborate with internal teams, including all sales channels, finance, and operations, to forecast demand and ensure adequate inventory levels. Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews to maintain high standards and identify areas for improvement. Provide leadership, coaching and feedback to the procurement team, to ensure a high level of performance and engagement. Help establish and maintain key performance metrics for all levels of procurement activities. Manage product flow to ensure inventory is maintained to the optimum level to support on time customer deliveries, while keeping inventory holdings at the appropriate levels. Stay updated on industry regulations, market developments, and economic factors affecting procurement decisions. Additional Functions, Duties & Accountabilities Responsible for the direction and supervision of 4 or more Procurement staff. Serve as a member of Procurement Team and support others as necessary. Maintain flexibility in work schedule to meet business needs. Uphold and promote AMS's values system of integrity, collaboration, and creativity in all relationships with customers, suppliers, fellow employees and other stakeholders. Ensure the confidentiality and full and complete safeguarding of the company's trade secrets and any of our business clients' customer lists and related records. Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Required Experience and Skills 3-5 years of procurement experience, preferably in the collectibles or commodities sector. At least 2 years experiencing in a lead or supervisor role. Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing favorable terms and pricing. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in various purchasing systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal teams. Travel Ability to travel domestically and internationally when required, approximately 0 - 5% Benefits AMS believes that investing in our employees is critical to having a successful company.
