Description:
[Position] Procurement Generalist (Equipment) - preferred bilingual Korean [Job Description] • Responsible for equipment supplier development, including but not limited to supplier sourcing, vetting, and price negotiations.• Developing procurement plans, organizing procurement and following up on manufacturing lead times.• Responsible for the standardization of equipment, supply chain layout optimization.• Responsible for the development and implementation of equipment procurement strategies.• Responsible for procurement contract and order processing.• Coordinates activities with other departments to assure proper delivery, quality, reliability, and low cost consistency.• Documents and maintains necessary records and files. May work with agents and customs brokers for overseas material buying.• Prepares weekly/monthly reports including the performance, inventory, and issues of each group of the purchasing team and reports them to the CEO and CPO.• Communicate with Samsung SDI/STLA headquarters and related departments of SPE and respond to requested data.• Works with necessary departments to minimize costs and maximize efficiency of purchasing function.• Studies market trends and systems technology related to job.• Timely execution of processing approved purchase requests into purchase orders and transmitting purchase orders to suppliers.• Resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders when needed.• Maintain Supplier Performance Rating System in MRP system. Process scorecard on a monthly basis and input feedback from quarterly commodity strategy meetings.Areas of Leadership and Technical abilities• Action / Results oriented: Problem solving, attitude, deliver projects on time with high quality• Strong knowledge of and experience working with state/local regulations and requirements• Strong presentation skills to clearly articulate: business problems, analytical approaches, potential solutions & recommendations• Ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations per team goals• High level of written and verbal communication• Self-motivated: energetic, enjoys working at quick pace [Qualifications] • Bachelor’s degree in Business, or equivalent.• Prefer Bilingual English / Korean but not mandatory• 1-7 years’ experience in buyer or procurement role; preferably within the defense industry• Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various level of employees within all areas of the organization including hourly employees to Senior Leadership• Ability to build effective cross functional relationships internally and externally• Demonstrated technical problem-solving ability• Goal oriented self-starter with ability to lead teams• Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office• Ability to work overtime as required• Strict adherence to safety standardsPreferred Job Requirements• Extensive knowledge in Data Analytics utilizing MS Excel, MS Access or other database applications• Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation• Critical thinking and an analytical mindset• Demonstrated teamwork and effectiveness in accomplishing goalPowered by JazzHR
