Probation Officer - Stockport Are you a passionate, dedicated Probation Officer looking for your next role 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Probation Officer to join a Youth Justice & Targeted Youth Support Team based in Stockport, with the aim of preventing offending by children and young people. Umbrella Rate: £35 per hour Duration: 18/12/2023 – 3 months initially Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hrs/week – Hybrid Probation Officer role: Full JD Available Supervise and manage a generic caseload of children and young people on statutory orders, out of court disposals, voluntary programmes of support and targeted youth support Work with children and young people who have suffered ACE and exploitation, and understand the impact of trauma of their development and behaviour Make backssments in relation to risk of harm to the public, risk of re-offending, risk of anti-social behaviour, safety and well-being, and of offence-related needs in order to allocate appropriate and targeted resources Work with members of the multi-agency YJS to deliver the aims and objectives as set out within the statutory annual Youth Justice Plan Link in with the Young Adult Hub and Probation to ensure effective information sharing Attend and engage with a range of multi-agency meetings, including Team Around the Child Meetings, Child Protection and other relevant forums Assist in the provision of a court duty service in the GM Youth Court and to attend Criminal and Civil Courts as required Supervise pre-sentence interventions including bail information, bail backssment and bail support for those young people denied bail and/or released under investigation Have responsibility for children and young people remanded to custody who are subject to looked after child procedures Prepare reports for the Court and/or Panels to the required standard Be part of the duty system that operates through the week, including undertaking Triage backssments, and also be part of the evening and weekend duty.
