Practice Area: Corporate - Venture Capital/ Emerging Companies, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 7 Years, A law firm seeks a seasoned Emerging Companies and Venture Capital (ECVC) Attorney to join its Business Practice Group in Washington, DC. This role offers an extensive platform to engage with a diverse business and corporate client base. The attorney will provide strategic guidance to early-stage and emerging companies, particularly on capital raising and financing, while handling sophisticated transactions across various industries.DutiesProvide ongoing, close counsel to small and large business clients on general corporate governance.Lead capital-raising transactions, including private offerings and debt/equity financing from angel investors, venture capital funds, and other sources.Structure and oversee complex transactions for emerging brands across a range of industry sectors.Collaborate with attorneys across multiple office locations on cross-functional client matters.Advise clients on securities matters, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and public company issues.Foster long-term client relationships by delivering high-quality, proactive legal solutions.Participate in pro bono and public service matters, contributing to firm initiatives on social impact.RequirementsExperience: Minimum of 7 years of experience representing early-stage brands in capital raise transactions, including private offerings and financing from various investor sources.
