Preschool Teacher - Substitute Job Summary: The Preschool Teacher is a part-time position whose main responsibilities include providing a fun and educational environment fostering gradual transition from parents; developing cognitive, fine and large motor skill through play, art, stories and songs; and/or focusing on lifelong learning skills through readiness activities in math, science, pre-reading and pre-writing. The preschool program will be from 9am-12pm with the opportunity to extend their day with lunch and enrichment classes starting in October.* This position is to be an on-call substitute teacher for our Preschool Program starting on September 9th, 2024 and it will end May 23rd, 2025. Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age.Bachelor’s degree in Education/Early Childhood, or related field preferred.Previous experience working with preschool aged children required. Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. - Monday through Friday Working Conditions: Teacher may have to lift a participant (in the absence of a parent) for consoling if hurt or crying.Teacher may be required to work during various weather and building conditions; primary responsibilities are indoors.
