Position Summary: The Preschool Paraprofessional supports the classroom teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for young children. This role involves assisting with classroom activities, supervising students, and helping to implement developmentally appropriate educational activities. The paraprofessional plays a vital role in supporting children's social, emotional, and cognitive development in a preschool setting.Responsibilities: Assist the classroom teacher with lesson plans, daily activities, and preparation of materials. Supervise and ensure the safety of children during classroom activities, outdoor play, and transitions. Support children in developing social skills, such as sharing, listening, and conflict resolution. Aid in the implementation of learning activities designed to promote literacy, math, fine motor, and gross motor skills. Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students as directed by the teacher. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment. Observe and document children's behavior and learning progress, reporting any concerns to the teacher. Support children in daily routines, including snack, rest time, and toileting if needed.
