Position Summary : Hiring ASAP a Preschool Certified Teacher to join our team at The Burke Foundation Early Childhood Center at YWCA Princeton. AS a private provider for the Princeton School District, the Preschool Teacher will be responsible for teaching the preschool class the using the Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD Assessment. This is a full time 10 month position, with hours 8am to 3:30pm. Candidates must have a NJ P-3 Standard Teaching Certificate. Compensation $61,000 - $64,000 (based one experience, credentials)** Sign on Bonus $1000 ($500 upon hiring and $250 per month upon completion of two subsequent months) Primary Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for preparing lesson plans and implementation of the interdisciplinary approach of Creative Curriculum. Establish positive teacher-student relations Responsible for the safety, security and nurturing of the children assigned to the classroom at all times. Proactive and professional open communications with parents and be available for conferences (during, before, and after school hours) Assist in gearing the program to the needs of the individual children, recognizing their differences, special interests, needs, abilities and styles and pace of learning socialization skills Evaluate student's academic growth, keep mandated records, and prepare reports of progress as required using Teaching Strategies GOLD Document attendance, accident reports, medication waivers, and daily care sheets for each child in compliance with the YWCA Princeton and licensing regulations Creative a positive, safe and nurturing learning environment for the children to learn and thrive. Work cooperatively with other members of the staff, directors and maintain an ethical and professional atmosphere Attend all staff meetings and required training sessions, as well as childcare family events. Assume any other duties as requested by Director of Childcare Skills and Requirements: Must be able to submit college transcripts along with a valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate with the teaching endorsement (P-3) Hold or get (within 90 days of employment) an ARC, First Aid, CPR/AED certifications for child, infant and adult Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required Benefits: 10 month position Health Benefits (after 3 months of employment) including medical, dental and vision.
