Responsibilities:• Install, configure, and maintain POS hardware and software across various client locations.• Conduct regular system diagnostics and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to POS systems, including hardware malfunctions and software glitches.• Provide technical support, guidance, and training to clients, ensuring clear communication and effective problem-solving.• Collaborate with our team to suggest software improvements and updates based on feedback and observed issues.• Train clients and their staff on the proper use and maintenance of POS systems.• Manage inventory of parts and equipment, ensuring availability of necessary items for repairs and installations.• Document technical procedures, configurations, and support tickets to maintain a knowledge base for internal use and compliance purposes.• Stay up-to-date with the latest POS technologies and security standards to provide informed recommendations to our clients and internal teams. Qualifications:• Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement.• Proven experience as a POS Technician or in a similar technical support role.• Strong understanding of POS systems, payment processing, and network infrastructure.• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.• Outstanding customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.• Ability to travel to client sites as needed.• Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) is a plus.
