The ideal candidate will have experience managing a maintenance team, a strong engineering background, and a commitment to driving operational excellence . Job Title : Plant Engineer Reports to : Branch Manager Location : Winston Salem, NC Company : Hanes Companies To be Successful in this role: BS degree in an Engineering discipline Experience managing a Maintenance department in a large-scale manufacturing environment on multiple shifts and business units Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance Energy experience – water, gas, steam, and electricity Facilities management experience – machinery and building Experience with capital budgeting and projects Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills So, what will you be doing as a Plant Engineer? Manage the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department and maintenance associates. Ensure the proper upkeep of all production equipment and plant infrastructure. Collaborate with Production Managers to drive exceptional performance in Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Efficiency. Establish and execute a first-class Preventative Maintenance Program for all production equipment and infrastructure. Develop, track, and improve KPIs related to machine downtime and reliability. Initiate and participate in Continuous Improvement/Process Improvement projects to reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance efficiency. Manage the execution of Capex and other maintenance projects. Assist in budgeting and forecasting for Capex projects and department expenses. Perform other duties as assigned.
