Planner/Scheduler We are recruiting for a Planner/Scheduler for our facility in Cambridge, Ontario. JOB PURPOSE To develop project or department schedules that will support Shop plans and customer orders, as well as permit effective execution of work scope. RESPONSIBILITIES: Work List Development & Communication • Develop and communicate work list at critical facilities; • Research statuses of jobs routed to the facility and expedite upstream activities as necessary to support schedule; • Review work list with Shop supervision using reports generated from P3 and VIS as well as communicating via email, work lists at facilities and “white boards”. Recover Schedules • Produce recover schedules to bring critical jobs back on schedule; • Review status of job and produce sheet based on outstanding activities; • Review schedules with Shop Supervision, Quality Control and Vendor; • Monitor, update and communicate status, alerting stakeholders to any deviations in plan, initiating corrections; • Integrate recover schedule with weekly schedules and, if necessary, reissue work lists. Materials • Ensure the timely availability of materials to support schedules; • Release picks through Raptor to appropriate department, expediting purchasing and supporting shops to ensure timely delivery of materials; • Review work orders and material lists as required, ensuring validity; • Expedite document control and route sheet writes, as well as coordinating with shipping and vendors to have in-process materials returned in a timely manner.
