Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist physical therapists in providing high-quality care to patients, focusing on the preparation and maintenance of treatment areas, equipment, and patient support. The Physical Therapy Aide will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the physical therapy department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist physical therapists with patient care, including setting up and cleaning treatment areas and equipment. Help patients perform prescribed exercises and activities under the supervision of a physical therapist. Transport patients to and from treatment areas, ensuring their comfort and safety. Maintain a clean and organized treatment environment, including sanitizing equipment and surfaces. Prepare treatment areas and equipment for upcoming sessions. Monitor and report patient progress and any changes in condition to the supervising physical therapist. Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing inventory. Provide support and encouragement to patients throughout their treatment sessions. Adhere to all regulatory and ethical standards in physical therapy practice. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a physical therapy aide training program is preferred. Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required. Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to patient care and safety. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move patients and equipment, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks as needed.
