Join our health care revolution and be a part of something better.GENERAL PURPOSEQuad Med is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to support our Health & Wellness Center serving Quad employees and their families.Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts.Mondays at Sussex, WI clinic, every Tuesday OFF and Wed-Fri at West Allis clinic from 7am-5pmKEY RESPONSIBILITIESMentors' technical skill set of Pharmacy Tech Trainee and Pharm Tech IAssists in the preparation of prescriptions including entering patient information (demographics, drug allergies and pharmaceutical history) and prescription orders into the pharmacy system for processingAssists Pharmacist in filling prescriptions by pulling stock, pouring, counting, restocking, packaging, labeling and pricing the prescriptionProvides excellent customer service by greeting customers as they enter the pharmacy, keeping the pharmacy clean and inviting, and answering the phone in a courteous mannerAssists Pharmacist in the preparation, reconciliation and billing of third-party insurance claims and in the re-billing of rejected third party claimsAssists in checking and removing out-of-date product as instructed by the pharmacistOrders, receives, rotates and stores product to assure quality controlsReconciles daily merchandise ordersMaintain confidentiality in compliance of federal HIPAA regulationsOrganizes and files recordsMaintains all product labels, signs and prices aligned with productKeeps work area clean, orderly and free from safety hazards; report hazards to the pharmacist or managerOperates the cashier terminal and the credit card machine when checking our customers; collect proper payment for merchandiseRepacks and consolidates supply overstock (e.g., vials, caps, bottles, etc.)JOB REQUIREMENTSEducation:Graduate from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program requiredExperience:Minimum two (2) years' experience in retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferredCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) issued by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board requiredCurrent CPR (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 60 days of hireKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Ability to work standing for most of your shiftIntermediate computer skills including Microsoft office applications and electronic mail. Experience with electronic medical records and/or pharmacy systemsKnowledge of pharmacy standards, policies, and procedures, and of third-party insuranceProven ability to work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance diversity and inclusionAdvanced customer service, communication, organization, problem resolution and process development skillsBilingual a plusAbility to work independently, be well-organized, work well under pressure, exercise sound judgment, and be flexible and cooperativeAdvanced understanding of infrastructureMentoring and knowledge transferHarry Quadracci was determined to do things differently, and to do them better.
