Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Pharmacist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Shift: 8 hours, flexible Employment Type: Staff Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Clinical Pharmacist to join the team.As a Pharmacist you will contribute to the quality and effective operation of the department. To help achieve our mission, you will ensure safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures, and protocols. Your ability to oversee all department activities pertaining to the preparation and dispensing of pharmaceutical preparations, in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and in compliance with the requirements of the Virginia Board of Pharmacy, is of vital importance. Participates in the performance appraisal of Pharmacy Support personnel.- Organizes and prioritizes work assignments. Ensures Pharmacy services are provided in a timely manner as evidenced by lack of complaints.Qualifications: Experience:- One (1) year working in a hospital as a Pharmacist.- PGY 1 and PGY 2 residency experience required.- Psych experience or applicable experience preferred.Education:- Bachelors degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm D).Certifications:- Licensed Pharmacist in the state of VA.- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.-#LI-MF1 Inova Job ID #659073.
