The ideal candidate will manage PIP cases through both pre-litigation and active litigation phases, requiring precision, legal intelligence, and proficiency in complex calculations and strategies.Location: Quincy, MADuties Responsibilities:Oversee and manage all PIP cases, ensuring proper execution of demandsConduct thorough reviews of case documents, including demand responses, insurance policies, and payment recordsPerform calculations related to MRI cases, chiropractic/orthopedic treatments, and hospital bills, adhering to relevant laws and Medicare Fee SchedulesDraft and attend motions for various hearings, including Summary Judgment, Dismissal, Compelling Depositions, and DiscoveryActively defend against motions for sanctions and manage settlement processesMaintain communication with medical providers and insurance adjusters, providing updates and negotiating settlementsStay updated on current PIP laws, conducting in-depth research as neededTrain and guide support staff on accurate case evaluations and calculationsHandle intake calls for PIP cases, assessing case acceptance and preparing clients for depositions, mediations, and arbitrationsOrganize case files for pre-trial conferences, ensuring compliance with judicial requirementsRequirements:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolActive Bar license in MassachusettsExperience in personal injury protection or related fields preferredCertifications:Active Bar membershipSkills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExceptional communication and negotiation abilitiesDetail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple casesProficiency in legal research and document preparationKnowledge of relevant laws and Medicare Fee SchedulesAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentBenefits:Health insurancePaid Time OffPaid holidaysBonus structureDental and vision insuranceLife insurance401(k) with matchingEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)
