This role requires a candidate capable of managing and overseeing the civil litigation practice from start to finish, with support staff provided. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in civil litigation and the ability to work independently. Trial experience is a plus but not mandatory.DutiesManage and supervise the civil litigation practice, handling cases from inception to resolution.Conduct thorough legal research and prepare necessary documentation, including pleadings and motions.Assist with depositions related to the firm’s workers' compensation cases.Collaborate with support staff to ensure efficient case management.Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure high-quality legal service.Identify opportunities to bring in new cases to enhance the firm’s revenue.RequirementsJuris Doctorate from an accredited law school.Proven experience in civil litigation, with a strong understanding of legal procedures.Ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision.Trial experience is preferred but not required.EducationJuris Doctorate from an accredited institution.CertificationsActive bar admission in California.SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively with support staff and clients.Proven organizational skills and attention to detail.BenefitsOpportunity to work in a small, supportive firm with a growing practice.Potential for a performance-based bonus structure based on revenue generated.Engaging work environment that encourages professional development.
