This role provides a unique opportunity to work alongside seasoned litigators, participate in a collaborative environment, and develop a chosen career path in either personal injury or workers' compensation law.DutiesEngage in personal injury and workers' compensation cases through direct client interaction and case preparation.Represent clients in administrative hearings and court proceedings.Collaborate with senior attorneys to strategize and prepare litigation cases.Conduct legal research, draft documents, and prepare case files.Manage client relationships with a commitment to client service and case outcomes.Actively participate in team meetings, firm initiatives, and case debriefs.RequirementsJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.Active Bar membership in good standing in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia.Minimum of 2+ years of litigation experience for some positions (preferred but not required for entry-level roles).Familiarity with state legal systems, particularly in Maryland and surrounding areas.Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred but not required).EducationJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-approved institution.CertificationsActive license and good standing with the bar in Maryland, District of Columbia, or Virginia.SkillsStrong client service orientation and teamwork skills.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Detail-oriented with strong professional ethics, reliability, and accountability.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).Previous experience in personal injury or workers' compensation law is preferred.Job LocationGreenbelt, MDBenefitsHealth Insurance: 65% premium covered by the firm for employees and families.Dental and Vision Insurance: 50% premium paid by the firm for employees.401(k) plan with employer matching up to $10,000 annually after one year of service.Paid Family Leave: Available after one year of employment.Professional malpractice insurance is provided.Life Insurance: Coverage up to $50,000.Long-Term Disability Insurance.Access to a fitness facility on-site.
