JOB PURPOSE: Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Payroll Coordinator is responsible for the consistent provision of superior service in regard to data integrity, payroll, and legislative compliance. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Payroll Coordination: Accountable for updating and maintaining the integrity of all employee data, including new hires, status changes, terminations etc. in addition to audit of all entries. Accountable for full cycle payroll, including set up from new entries, to processing, to final audit, according to legislative and contractual requirements. Responsible for maintaining the integrity of and performing modifications on the payroll and time and attendance systems as required. Assist, develop and implement changes directly with the service provider(s) as required, ensuring the accuracy of final results. Process miscellaneous payments such as stipends, vacation dollars, premium pay, miscellaneous bonus, retro pay, severance pay etc. directly into the payroll system. Enter hours in payroll batch for.
