The successful candidates will work closely with experienced attorneys on a variety of patent-related legal duties. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys with a strong background in Data Science and a passion for intellectual property law to grow their careers in a collaborative and dynamic environment.Location:Cleveland, OHDuties:Draft and prepare patent applications for Data Science-related inventionsConduct patent searches and prepare detailed search reportsAssist in preparing for patent litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests and responsesAid in deposition and oral argument preparationPerform legal research and provide support on other intellectual property mattersCollaborate with other attorneys to develop strategies for patent prosecution and litigationRequirements:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law schoolBachelor of Science (BS) degree in Data Science or a related fieldMust be willing to take the Ohio Bar ExamStrong academic record sufficient to register or gain limited recognition to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) at the time of employmentInterest in patent law and intellectual property, with a focus on Data Science-related technologiesEducation:JD from an accredited U.S. law schoolBS in Data Science or a related technical fieldCertifications:Eligibility to register or attain limited recognition to practice before the USPTO is required at the time of employmentSkills:Strong written and oral communication skillsAbility to analyze complex technical and legal issuesExcellent research and drafting abilitiesDetail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlinesAbility to collaborate in a team-oriented environmentKnowledge of Data Science technologies and their applications in the field of patent lawBenefits:Competitive compensation packageComprehensive benefits (healthcare, dental, vision, etc.)Opportunities for professional development and career advancement This Ohio-based law firm was established more than 105 years ago and has 3 offices in the state.
