WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR Enclave's Paralegal is responsible for the successful administration of contracts, loans, and closing documents during real estate transactions. The Paralegal ensures the success of company real estate transactions through clear, consistent, and proactive communication throughout the financing and closing of a development project. This role is responsible for the coordination of real estate transactions and the setup of new legal entities. RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct thorough due diligence on properties involved in development projects, including review title reports, zoning regulations, environmental assessments, and other relevant documents to identify any legal issues or potential obstacles Assist attorneys in preparing and drafting legal documents essential to the real estate development deal flow, such as purchase agreements, deeds, easements, leases, and development agreements Ensure all documents comply with local laws and regulations Facilitate the process of obtaining necessary permits and ensuring compliance with zoning regulations Communicate with government authorities, attend hearings, and keep abreast of changes in local zoning laws Review contracts and agreements related to the development project, including contracts with contractors, architects, and other third parties Identify and address legal risks ensuring that all parties adhere to contractual obligations Assist in the closing process of real estate transactions, including coordinating the execution of documents, organizing closing documents, and ensuring that all legal requirements are met Serve as liaison between various parties involved in the real estate development process, including developers, contractors, government officials, and legal professionals Coordinate and review title insurance policies to ensure clear title to the property and identify any potential issues that may affect the development project Maintain organized up to date files for real estate development projects, including all legal documents, correspondence, and records KNOWLEDGE | SKILLS | ABILITIES Bachelor's degree in real estate management, business administration, finance, or related field 2+ years' experience in paralegal work or commercial real estate lending, preferred Extreme attention to detail with capability to analyze and review financial documents & real estate contracts Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to successfully coordinate multiple projects & timelines at once Ability to establish and maintain effective and positive relationships with coworkers, partners & investors Excellent organizational skills, with ability to adapt and prioritize in a changing environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products, SharePoint & Teams experience preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical requirements listed here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
