A company is looking for a Complex Coder Outpatient to join their Acute Care HIMS Coding Team remotely. Key Responsibilities Analyze medical records and accurately code diagnostic and procedural information Abstract clinical diagnoses and procedure codes, ensuring compliance with coding regulations Provide mentoring for less experienced staff and address complex coding matters independently Required Qualifications, Training, and Education High school diploma/GED or equivalent specialized training in medical record keeping Active certification as CCS, COC, CPC, RHIT, RHIA, or equivalent coding certification Two or more years of outpatient complex experience in an acute care facility or healthcare system Knowledge of ICD CM/PCS and CPT4 coding principles Ability to work effectively in a remote setting using coding software and abstracting systems
