The Operations Assistant is responsible for supporting our operations team as well as the sales and logistics departments with administrative duties such as work orders, shipping/receiving logs, sales order confirmations, and processing bill of ladings. Reporting directly to the Administration Supervisor, the Operations Assistant will be performing a variety of administrative, clerical and financial duties within our new Oracle Business Management System to support the Aggregates operations in Niagara. This will include verifying and executing invoicing, performing data entry and generating reports at the request of managers. In addition, you will create work orders and purchase orders for Aggregate Niagara division mechanics to ensure the work is being performed as scheduled and expedite payment processes from accounting.Main Responsibilities: Coding and tracking invoices and purchase orders to ensure timely and accurate billing information. Signs invoices as authorized to ensure timely payment. Analyzing selected operational costs as required; investigate and report on significant variances. Assists Operations personnel with contacting customers, contractors and suppliers, in support of site management. Monitors, maintains and updates an equipment information database to ensure equipment maintenance is being performed on a timely basis.
