Job Title: Occupational Therapist. Location: Sacramento VA Medical Center. Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Qualifications: Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in any U.S. state or territory. Board certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) with current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Minimum one year of inpatient rehabilitation experience for inpatient roles. Minimum one year of outpatient orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation experience for outpatient roles. Duties: Evaluate patients to assess functioning and impairments. Develop and implement treatment plans with measurable goals. Prescribe and train in the use of wheelchairs and mobility devices. Assess patient deformities and ensure proper fit of equipment. Re-evaluate progress and modify treatments as necessary. Train family members in patient handling.
